I came here for a job.
What kind of work do you do?
I’m a welder. I weld lift-gates onto trucks. I’m one of the only women welders where I work.
What’s your greatest hope?
I hope my daughter gets a softball scholarship to college. She’s back in Tennessee, living with her grandparents right now. I miss her a lot. We text each other at least 10 times a day.
